Mother's Day Gift - Elizabeth Arden

May 02, 2010 Bloggies by Administrator Edit

If you want to add to your Mother's day tradition of giving flowers you can also get mom an 8 piece cosmetic set from Elizabeth Arden.  It's free if you purchase $38 or at The Bay, but mom doesn't have to know those fine details.  It's actually a great deal since it comes with a 5 piece standard set which includes a

  1. New Deluxe Makeup Compact Makeup set that includes a mirror, 4 lip glosses, blush and a brushes.
  2. Ceramide Plump Perfect Lipstick
  3. Ceramide Lash Extension Treatment Mascara
  4. Pretty Eu de Parfum Perfume Spray
  5. Stylish makeup bag.

On top of that you get to pick from a choice of 2 sets of 3 piece gift sets from Elizabeth Arden's skincare line.  Personally I think mom will love this first collection which is the Prevage Collection.  The Prevage Collection includes:

  1. Prevage Day Ultra Protection Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30
  2. Prevage Eye Anti-Aging Moisturizing Treatment
  3. Prevage Anti-Aging Night Cream

Of course you can pick the Ceramide Collection from Elizabeth Arden.  This doesn't include the Anti Aging treatments - The Ceramide Collection includes:

  1. Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules Face/Throat
  2. Ceramide Moisture Network Night Cream
  3. Ceramide Plump Perfect Ultra Lift & Firm Moisture Cream SPF 30.

This is a great savings from Elizabeth Arden.  It's a $144 value and you can get it for all for free.  Valid only from May 5-23.  This is a great Mother's Day gift.  If you don't think that's enough you can always top it off with some flowers or chocolate.

Paris Pass - Get one!

April 14, 2010 Bloggies by Administrator Edit

Quick fast museum hopping in Paris is just not possible if you don't buy a Paris Pass and I learned the hard way.  Perhaps it's the season you go, April - June is peak season in Paris, so lines were extremely long.  I managed to get to Chateau Versailles just when it opened and was really proud that I missed the queue.  When I left around 11am there was about 1 hour wait just to buy tickets, there's a separate line for security checks.  At the Chateau Versailles they only have 1 xray/scanner machine, so you can imagine how long that would take.

Then I went to Saint Chapelle for another hour lineup just to pass security and then another line to buy tickets.  To enter the Notre dame Cathedral is free, but there's also a line! If you want to climb the Notre Dame stairs to the stop, it's another 1-2 hour wait to buy tickets.  The Louvre museum is about 2 hour wait depending on time of day.  Early morning is about a 20 min wait, later in the evening, the queue is about an hour wait. Not to mention the 4 stations under the pyramid to buy tickets into the Louvre.  Rick Steves is right, it's a ZOO in Louvre.  Musee D'Orsay another huge line and the Eiffel Tower has a crazy line too during the day.   PLUS all the museums are not right beside each other, so it only makes it easy to buy the Paris pass with the metro included.

I was one of the suckers stuck in line at each place.  Don't be me.  Seriously.  I just can't stand lineups and so I skipped a few museums I wanted to see.  I don't want you to suffer the same fate I did.  Get the Paris pass!  Paris Pass holders get the express lines and stroll right in afterwards.  Anywayss, lesson learned.  Next time if I go I'm definitely buying the Paris Pass.  You should too.  It's worth every penny.

Check out Paris Pass deals here.  PLUS I found a coupon that you can get 10% off your purchase - enter code CC05 at checkout.
